BEIJING-- The high-performance, affordable expert system design launched recently by Chinese startup DeepSeek has developed a wave of attention all over the world. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use performance that rivals alternatives from the U.S., but the company says it was at less than a tenth of the expense of those models. Chinese innovation news portal 36Kr spoke with the company's creator, Liang Wenfeng, wiki.dulovic.tech in July 2024.
